What is Dysprt?

Dysprt* is the brand name for a form of neurotoxin that is used in cosmetic treatments that was designed to temporarily delay deep wrinkle formation.

This cosmetic injectable treatment is used to temporarily decrease muscle movement in the targeted areas to smoothen and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Dysprt was originally approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2009.

How does Dysprt work?

Dysprt belongs to a class of injections called neuromodulators. Other injections in this class include BTX and Xe0min. All use a form of botulinum toxin, but they’re used to target different areas of your face.

Neuromodulators like Dysprt reduce the appearance of lines by relaxing and limiting the movement of muscles around the injection site.

Your doctor injects a small amount of the substance directly into your muscle. As your muscles relax, the skin above them becomes smoother, thereby reducing wrinkles.

It’s important to note that these effects are only temporary. Decreasing movement is meant to prevent the formation or deepening of wrinkles, which are caused by repetitive movement over time, along with heredity and aging.

Dysprt Treatment Areas

Forehead

Forehead wrinkles, also known as "surprise lines", become more apparant as we age and can give a "aged" overall appearance. Dysprt helps to lift and tighten this area, smoothing over these fine lines.

Glabellar's Lines (Frown Lines)

These vertical creases give a tired or angry look. Dysprt will help to relax the pinched skin in between the eyebrows and forehead to relax and help improve the deep grooves.

Crow's Feet

The appearance of lines lines at the outer corner of the eyes. Dysprt is used around the eyes to make smoothen and brighten the skin, erasing signs of strain and age with it.

Upper Lip

Lip wrinkles, sometimes called lipstick lines, are small, vertical lines forming on the upper lip. Makeup may often settles into these grooves and can draw unwanted attention. Dysprt helps to rejuvenate the skin of the lips, providing a lifting effect and helps to smoothen out pucker lines.
