Attention to men's health has traditionally been lacking in our society, but many men are starting to learn to appreciate the importance of maintaining their psychological and biological wellbeing. To make things worse, it is often a taboo subject among many men.

We offer a wide range of Men's Health services. Most importantly, we are discreet, and we value patient confidentiality greatly.

If you prefer having a male doctor to speak to, arrangements can be made.

Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is a problem that plagues may men. It gets more prevalent with age. However, it is not uncommon among younger men. Many do not talk about it and suffer in silence. It is important for men to know that there are ways to improve this aspect of their lives.

There are many causes of ED. Anxiety and depression can affect sexual performance in men. ED can also cause further anxiety and depression, creating a vicious cycle. To make matters more complicated, certain anti-depressants that are used to treat the above conditions can also contribute to ED.

Conditions that affect the health of blood vessels, such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol are also common culprits of ED. High cholesterol can cause blood vessels to be blocked up with fatty deposits, decreasing blood supply to the penis. Smoking can also contribute to this.

In diabetes, the health of blood vessels is affected and blood supply to extremities gets poor. The nerves also get damaged. These result in a weak or no erection.

Low testosterone can also cause ED. Those with low testosterone likely have accompanying symptoms of poor sex drive, low energy levels, loss of muscle mass and increase in fats.

Some medications can cause ED. Certain anti-depressants were mentioned earlier as possible culprits. Some beta-blockers, commonly used to treat high blood pressure and heart disease, may also affect erection strength.

To treat ED, we must first try to remove or minimise factors that contribute to ED. A psychologist can be helpful. Health conditions should be well controlled. If low testosterone is found to be the problem, testosterone replacement therapy can be discussed.

It is important to note that you must never stop taking your medications by yourself. If you suspect your medication might be causing ED, speak to your physician about it and discuss about the possibility of switching to an alternative drug.

Apart from the above measures, a class of drugs called the PDE-5 inhibitors can help with ED. The most well-known of this class is Viagra. 2 other popular drugs of this class are Cialis and Levitra. They have slightly different instructions of usage. Some people find one brand to be more effective than the others.

It is highly recommended that you do not try medications from questionable sources. The safety and effectiveness of these drugs cannot be established. At best, they are ineffective, and in worst case scenarios, even dangerous.

Premature Ejaculation

Premature Ejaculation (PE) is a condition where a man ejaculates earlier than he or his partner would like him to. It is a common disorder affecting about 20-30% of men. It can be quite distressing for many. It is not uncommon for men with PE to also have erectile dysfunction.

There are a few approaches to tackling PE. Sexual techniques can be used to help delay ejaculation. Dapoxetine (Priligy) has been found to be safe and effective in delaying ejaculation. Numbing creams when applied to the penis can also help, but care must be taken to not leave them on for too long or there might be issues with erection. A condom must also be used if numbing cream is involved to prevent the partner from being affected by the numbing agent too.

Male Pattern Hair Loss

Generally, people shed from 50 to 100 single hairs per day! Hair shedding is part of a natural balance where some hairs fall out while others grow to take it’s place.

When the balance is distrupted, hair loss happens.
