What is Micro-Botox?

Micro-Botox is a form of micro-needling, also known as intradermal Botox or mesobotox. It utilizes a more diluted form of Botox or Dysport through the process of micro-needling, meaning multiple small dose injections into the skin.

How Does It Differ from Regular Botox?

The major difference between micro-Botox and Botox is that micro-Botox is only injected at a superficial level into the layers just beneath your skin. On the other hand, traditional Botox is released right into the major muscles of the face to block nerve activity.

Because it provides a less intensive treatment that isn’t used to relax all of the major facial muscles, micro-Botox has unique effects that make it appealing to a wider range of people, particularly younger people. This is compared to Botox treatments that are usually only recommended for people in their mid-30s and older, i.e people who are already showing some signs of aging.

Because micro-Botox uses a more diluted version of Botox and Dysport, it is often used to treat more minor skin imperfections and fine lines that Botox can’t always treat.

Benefits of Micro-Botox

There are multiple benefits to using micro-botox, including:

1. By shrinking your pores, micro-Botox can reduce fine lines and wrinkles to keep your skin looking radiant and youthful.

2. Reduced pore size can lead to a smoother, clearer complexion and improved skin texture.

3. It can treat delicate facial muscles that aren’t always effectively treated by regular Botox injections, such as fine lines around the eyes and minor asymmetry in facial features.

4. It’s an attractive treatment alternative for those who want to keep the first signs of aging at bay.

How long does Microbotox last?

Micro-Botox, like traditional Botox, lasts on average 3-4 months. However, when micro-Botox is combined with other cosmetic treatments, such as hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, results can be extended by several months.

Attentive, patient and informative service by Bernice and Dr Jason. I eventually did a HIFU treatment which is improving my skin noticeably week by week. Absolutely no hard selling to do any treatment which I was not comfortable with. I consulted a few clinics in relation to HIFU and I found they were all trying to push me into many other things which I was not ready to try. Bernice and Dr Jason were the opposite. I also have some chloasma and Dr Jason recommended a simple co… See more
