A patient having more than one or a combination of procedures can be beneficial in achieving the best possible result
It is not uncommon for patients to combine more than one procedure for their surgery, the benefit of doing this is that if the surgery is carried out in one area for example the face or the body, the best result can be achieved, it also means that only one General Anaesthetic is required.
Patients are medically advised to keep the use of General Anaesthesia to a minimum with current guidelines stating it should not used more than once in any 6 month period unless there are extenuating circumstances.
The most common combined procedures are :
Facelift + Blepharoplasty
Abdominoplasty + Breast Augmentation
Breast Augmentation + Mastopexy
Abdominoplasty + Liposuction
It is not always recommended that certain procedures are combined, so this should be discussed during consultation and a surgical plan can be devised to suit the patient.
