Combat signs of ageing

Smoothen wrinkled skin for youthful-looking appearance

What is BTX?

BTX is widely known as the go-to injectable treatment to smoothen outlines by preventing the muscles from contracting into a wrinkle. The injection weakens or paralyses certain muscles in the area being treated and effects can last for several months to a year, based on the conditions being treated.

The popularity of BTX in Singapore has increased over the years for the effective jaw slimming, reduction in fine lines and providing an overall facelift.

In addition, treatments are done relatively quick and are minimally invasive for clients to achieve a youthful-looking and rejuvenated appearance.

Areas for BTX

Forehead Lines

Forehead wrinkles, also known as "surprise lines", become more apparant as we age and can give a "aged" overall appearance. BTX allows the forehead to look smoother and less tired.

Glabellar's Lines (Frown Lines)

These vertical creases give a tired or angry look. BTX can subtly smooth these frown lines which will result in a rejuvenated and more relaxed appearance.

Crow's Feet

The appearance of lines lines at the outer corner of the eyes. BTX is effective in reducing their appearance and can also help to alleviate drooping eyelids.

An advanced technique to sculpt and lift the eyebrows. An experienced practitioner is required to perform this procedure to open up the eye area and lift droopy lids, thus raising and defining the eyebrows.

Bunny Lines (Top of the Nose)

Creases that appear when the nose wrinkles up. BTX can reduce the appearance of these lines.

Botox Treatment Areas - Lower Face

Gummy Smile

BTX is injected in the area between your upper lip and nose to temporarily freeze the muscles that contract or elevate when you smile which allows you to smile without showing your gums.

Jaw & Face Slimming

A popular procedure amongst younger clients. BTX is injected into the jaw muscle and will undergo a process known as muscular atrophy, which occurs over 3-4 weeks to achieve a sharper and slimmer look.

Hyperhidrosis (Execessive Sweating)

Aside from aesthetic purpose, BTX also benefits many medical conditions. BTX injections are able to inhibit the production of sweat in the underarms or palm of our hands.

Jawline & Neck

More lines and wrinkles can develop on the neck as we age due to genetics, weaked collagen and overworked facial muscles.

Horizontal creases naturally form and BTX can reduce these lines by injecting it above or below these bands or wrinkles wherever they appear.

Vertical rope-like protusions may develop on certain people, especially those who exercise a lot, and can be apparent when they speak or smile. Sometimes these saggy platysma muscles are referred as "turkey neck".

How Long Does a
BTX Shot Last?

The effects from BTX will last 3 to 6 months. As muscle action slowly returns, the lines and wrinkles begin to reappear and need to be treated again.

The lines and wrinkles often appear less severe with time because the muscles are shrinking.

How Is a BTX Procedure Done?

Getting BTX takes only a few minutes. You won’t need anesthesia. Our medical doctor uses a small needle to inject BTX into specific muscles with only minor discomfort.

It generally takes 7 to 14 days to take full effect. It’s best to avoid alcohol starting at least 1 week before the procedure. You should also stop taking aspirin and anti-inflammatory medications 2 weeks before treatment to help prevent bruising.

Avoid rubbing the injection site for 24 hours so you don’t spread the BTX to another area. Your doctor may also tell you to stay upright for 4 hours after the shots and to take a day off from exercising.

Who Should NOT Get BTX?

People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a neurological disease shouldn’t use BTX.

Because BTX doesn't work for all wrinkles, it is advised to seek a proper consultation with our esteemed staff of medical doctors and consultants for the path forward.
