What is PLLA Collagen Stimulator?

PLLA Collagen Stimulator is a FDA-approved injectable treatment made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) that stimulates collagen production to restore facial volume and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

It works gradually by stimulating the body's natural collagen-building process, leading to smoother and fuller skin over time.

How does it work?

The PLLA Collagen Stimulator works by stimulating the body’s natural collagen production to restore facial volume and enhance skin texture.

Made of biocompatible and biodegradable poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), it is injected into the deep dermis or subcutaneous layer. The PLLA microparticles act as a scaffold, triggering fibroblasts to generate new collagen over weeks to months.

This gradual process strengthens and thickens the skin, smoothing out wrinkles and restoring volume naturally.

Unlike traditional fillers, which offer immediate but temporary results, this treatment provides long-lasting effects, improving progressively over time.

Treatment Process

Before the treatment, the skin will be cleansed and topical numbing cream will be applied over the desired treatment areas. This ensures that there will be minimal discomfort during the treatment process.

The PLLA Collagen Stimulator uses the cannula method which involves pricking the skin with a needle to make a single entry point, then inserting a blunt tip cannula into the skin before injecting the product through the cannula. With this method, the injection is more smoother and controlled, and is able to  cover a larger area with a single entry point.

Some bumps, redness and swelling may be visible at the injection sites, however, these are fairly common and will subside within a few hours.
